Many people like Ran Mouri, but I dislike her. Many people hate Haibara, but I love her. My opinion is different to others, eh? Right. Many Detective Conan fans likes Ran and wants her too be coupled with Shinichi, but I'm not. Really disagree, do not want the ending like that. It will be a sad ending.
Maybe for you I'm a fool to think that it will be a sad ending. 'It will be a happy ending if two people who loved each other be together in the end, but why this crazy girl??' you think. That's correct, right? Oh, come on, don't lie on me. I know what you think.
But, don't kick me to the asylum first. I had a strong reason on my opinion.
Don't forget about someone in the triangular love -- someone who those crazy Ran's fans say was stupid, ugly, always yawn, cool-hearted criminal, etc -- Shiho Miyano a.k.a Ai Haibara. She was really in love with Shinichi, even she didn't show it most of time, and if Shinichi ends with Ran it would be a sad, full of sorrow ending of her life.
You know, Shiho's parents had died, and her sister, which is her only family, had murdered by the organization. How cruel is life for her if Shinichi, who she spent most of danger times in her life with, date another girl?
Her life is so complicated. She needs someone to passed all the difficult times with. All she need is love.

I prefer ShinShiho they go thru so many ups and downs together. Ran is a nice girl but sometimes she doesnt seem too pragmatic. Shiho (or Ai) deserve some light in her life and I will always remember ep 129 where she broke down and cried in front of Conan. Truly touching. If Akemi was still alive she would definitely approve!

For me, it will be more of a sad thing if Shinichi and Ran do not end up together.
The two have been waiting for each other. Shinichi has always wanted to get his real form back and tell Ran his true feelings for her. Ran has been waiting constantly. She's worried, confused and all that, but because Shinichi tells her to wait, she keeps her hopes up.
We all know they love each other. And people who love each other should be together.
I don't want Haibara to have a sad ending either. But I think what she needs is a family more than romance. Her parents died, her sister was killed, she was a prison of Black Organization that deprived her of the love from family and friends.
Shinichi isn't the only source of her strength. If I were Haibara, I'll be a lot thankful to him for putting whatever Haibara is now then leave it to that.
I wouldn't go further to have Shinichi though I can say Haibara likes him even the signs aren't obvious enough.
Shinichi and Ran are meant for each other, and maybe there's someone better for Haibara too. Maybe not now, maybe sooner or later. But still, we don't have to ruin a couple right?
For Haibara, I don't want her to end up with Shinichi that would make it look like she ruined ShinRan. (Yes I'm a fan of ShinRan and Ai too)
All I can say is that Haibara would find someone better in the future.

Ran has two "complete" parents eventhought her parents is separate, but she always act like there's no parents. A family (though they're separated, but still they could meet each other), popularity among her friends, Sonoko and Kazuha as her best friends, a smart brain (in DC Super Digest Book, Gosho said that Ran was smart in the interview), beauty, strongness... Why should she was so sad just because of Shinichi?
I will not say that Ran is weak, but sometimes she wasn't... thankful. She was a really lucky girl, you know.
But Ai, she didn't have a family, forced to make a poison though she didn't wanted to, and now was hunted by an organization. How sad it was to imagine that a person she likes be with another girl, while the girl he be with was a really lucky one?
And about Shinichi and Ran... I know they both love each other (Well I'm not so sure it was love or just 'liking', as in the scene Shinichi confessed he just said 'The heart of the woman whom one likes...') but sometimes Ran maybe need to learn how to be grateful to her current condition...
But, well, somehow I understood that CoAi was just meant to be friends...

I'll post an entry on my opinion about ShinRan and CoAi, you'll know my thoughts after reading it, and you may comment whatever you want. I promise I'll act neutral on the entry and not protecting CoAi

I like Ai a lot, and it's a tragic ending according to me if shinichi and ran end up together. There's nothing wrong with ran, all the 'she should be grateful' stuff, even though we have family, we aren't grateful all the time right? It's just that Ai deserves and needs him more. Though ran is good and all, i get fed up with her sometimes, like the time when she started crying just because shinichi did not give her chocolates on white day, i mean she cries for nothing sometimes, which makes me think that she can't handle danger situations and being with someone like shinichi who plays with danger all the time, i don't think she can understand or accept shinichi going into danger,and shinichi is a very resolute person. Due to this, i think both of them will keep hurting and fighting with each other if they end up together.
Ai on the other hand, climbs a hot chimney bare-foot, doesn't even yelp while being shot multiple times, and crawls back to the chimney with all those shots, she perfectly understands shinichi and his personality, though she objects to him taking risks at the beginning, she soon comes to know him and blindly puts all her trust on him, letting him encounter the organization, knowing that he can manage things. Also, even though ran knows shinichi a lot, she still didn't figure out that conan is shinichi, though people like heiji, eisuke, Ai, figured it out in no time, so i seriously doubt if she really knows him as well as she thinks she does. I think shinichi and shiho are made for each other. To all the people who think Ai is cold-blooded, i want to tell them that she has a great character to the degree that it is matched only by that of shinichi, they are so perfect for each other. Even though Ai tells conan that she would kill others for her self, it is seen more than once that she tried to kill herself for saving others, even in the bus, she wasn't thinking about herself and her fear, but about saving the others, she is unselfish just like shinichi. she hides herself under cold and tough attitude, while he does it under easy-going attitude. they are similar

ai is a badass, but i have to point out that it's not clear what exactly ai thinks of shinichi. if she did like him, i think it would be indeed sad.
but shinichi and ran also have something very special.
whichever way it turns out, it can't please everyone.
but even if shinichi doesn't end up with her, hopefully, she will have her happy ending forever, which i really really wish she will.

I'm an AiCon fan although im sure that they will never end togather coz Gosho created shinichi and ran for each other. I think even ai think the same way and realy wants their love story to end happily. Ai thinks that ShinRan love resemble that of Aki and Akimy, they love each other yet they cant be togather coz he is an IFB agent and she is a BO member. Aki left Akimy for the sake of her safety, shinichi did the same. Akimy involved in the BO and thats why she was killed by the. Ai is trying her best to prevent Ran from been invoved in the BO so that she can finally end up with Shinichi and have a happy ending that Ai's sister could not have

Don't worry writer you're not the only one here...
Based on my observations I think more people should want Conan and Ai to be together. It's just that the people who like ShinRan are the ones who are more outspoken about their couple on the internet (That wasn't an insult) so people see more ShinRan fans and think "Everybody wants ShinRan, so ConanXAi won't happen" and most (probably all :P) ShinRan fans also are, (I mean this in the least insulting way as possible) more kind of the ones who are more of the pretty romance fans. For eg: When they see a normal cute guy & a normal cute girl who are friends with some kind of romance implied they immediately blindly dedicate themselves to that couple with restricting themselves to that couple only. If you shrug off your infatuation for ShinRan for a moment then you'll really get to know Haibara better and why she needs Conan/Shinichi more.
(The guy who has commented first on this page is an example of a typical ShinRan fan).
And I know such behavior cause I too was a ShinRan fan before who wasn't half interested in Haibara.
If you see Conan & Ai together with an open mind you can clearly see that they really are made for each other. They have tons of things common between each other than ShinRan, and I don't see why Conan wouldn't fall for Haibara if it wasn't for Gosho controlling Conan's love life. They both help inspire each other, make the other into a better person, fight side-by-side and trust each other with all their might, and Conan IMO is denying himself those things, why ? All because of a childhood crush.
Also if Conan was still acting like the conceited high-school detective that he was at the very very start of the series, then of course he would want to stay with Ran. But Conan helped him see life from a different perspective, the difficult and emotional side of life, the one without a pretty girlfriend to stroke your ego all the time, and that's more the reason Haibara should be the new Kudo's "true love".
They, in every possible way make an amazing couple.
We ConanXAi fans need to speak up already, or if things go like this, Gosho will push the ShinRan button :(

Is it possible that Gosho will change his mind and let shinichi/conan fall for shiho/haibara? So then what about ran? Gosho aleady said that it will be a happy ending, so it is logical to think that shinichi will end up with ran so both of them will be happy.
I'm afraid that Haibara will die at the end to let shinichi and ran have a paceful life :-( . If that happen I'll kill Gosho :O
I think Ai & Conan are perfect for each other but Gosho dont want to understand that :'(

When I just started watching Detective Conan, I was obviously all, "ShinichiXRan forever", and I felt mad for the "CoAi" fans, but as I gradually progressed with the story, I can say Conan and Haibara totally fits each other <3. I sooo love both of them, they have this chemistry that'd excite fans and eagerly await for further development. I hope Gosho Aoyama would somehow think of reconsideration concerning the Shinichi x Ran couple (although I srsly doubt he will), but at least a satisfying ending for both Haibara and Ran supportors.

Same with me. First I was "I Love ShinXRan foreva <3" xD and then now I'm almost totally against it. Ai and Conan are probably the first couple I've seen in anime that have so much chemistry.
The more you see them together, the more it becomes obvious how perfect they are for each other. When I first became a huge supporter of CoAi, I was really shocked at how people still liked ShinRan more than them, and I still am :\
Haibara needs/deserves him waayyy more, and that they are 1000 times more perfect for each other than ShinRan, that I'm 101% sure of.

I'm also a super AiXConan (ShinShiho) fan! I do not "Hate" Ran but I think that she has a kind of a perfect life Family, Friends, Beauty, Innocence etc... (you name she has it) I perfectly no that she and Shinichi are so in Love with eachother but... don't u think that its more painful to love a person who u know would never love u back than waiting for ur beloved? And don't u guys know that in a certain episode Ai admits that she has fallen for Shinichi? I think AiCon is never gonna happen.. why? because they have a lot in common.... the reason why couples who have a lot more in common don't work out well is because they kind of get bored with each other... in real life the opposites attract, even science dictates that... in the long run it becomes more exciting... i love Ai.... but true love waits and Ran has been waiting forever if you think she is weak for crying to much, she is actually a strong girl because not many girls can wait "that" long for the one they love... others would've dumped him already... you would know this if you're in a long distance relationship... and i tell you, it really is difficult, you're gonna cry, a gurl can't help it.. Ai on the other hand is "tsundere" looks tough on the outside but weak on the inside (she can't cry now, she's too numb) and that's why she too deserves to be happy, i don't think she likes conan the way you think though cause she sees him as her "partner", kinda like your best friend... that's what i think though... i also don't like the idea of being a fan of ShinRan then suddenly liking AiCon better just because you pitty Ai's character...(w/o family and all) that she deserves to be loved.... She is already loved, the people around her obviously loves her even when she doesn't seem to show emotions... I am ShinRan fan for 13years, and still their fan up to now. For Those who say that Ran is weak, I don’t think so, because it takes a strong woman to wait for the man she loves, even if she doesn’t know when will he comes back. Shinichi loves Ran, he keep on saying to her to wait for him. And it would be unfair if he’ll end up with Shiho because of PITY. Conan gives Ai the loves she needs the most, love of family and friends, and that is enough for her. I don't think she wants him romantically.
I admire Shiho’s strength, and I know she deserves a guy who truly loves her, than a guy who loves a childhood friend so much (Shinichi). I wish her a happy ending, and I don’t think it’s with Shinichi.

I WANT HAIBARA TO END UP WITH CONAN! OR SHIHO WITH SHINICHI! its sad to see her having those feelings bundled up inside. And whenever conan/shinichi is with her, you can see how she's always looking after him or smiling to herself which i think is sweet yet heartbreaking cause i know in the end Shinichi is gonna end up with Ran :(

Even at the earlier episodes wherein Haibara isn't introduced yet, I haven't been a fan of RanXShinichi ship. I am not converted one. I started with CoAi ship and will continue be in that ship even though it's very apparent that Gosho is going to wrap up the manga with ShinRan.
Well I do see the merits of Ran's good qualities and devotion to Shinichi BUT those will not make him maximize his full potential. His IQ and talents matches with Ai and they can battle on the same level without any conceding that will be necessary with a ShinRan pairing. Through this constant healthy brainstorming, they'll bring the best out of each other. With Ai, Shinichi can build an empire.
Second point, Ai is a very tragic character. Getting your family murdered and yourself in the brink of death numerously ain't cool. CAN'T GOSHO BE KIND AND GIVE THIS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT & BEAUTIFUL GIRL WHAT SHE WANTS FOR ONCE? I mean even some of those ShinRan people gets selfish at times and say that a family for Ai will be enough. WHAT ABOUT ROMANCE??? Ai needs that! THE WORLD NEEDS THAT. Her genes is too precious not to be passed on. AND DONT YOU DARE SUGGEST MITSUHIKO.
I can go on and on why AiCo is the best route for the story to take. (Along the lines that it will show that things change and feelings change which will show GREAT MATURITY for the show) but I am afraid that I have been babbling here for too long.

I would kill myself just to see Conan and Ai become a real thing. If they create an episode where Conan pleads to Ai to pretend to be his girlfriend, and then he realizes his feelings for her. Haibara has no real family, and it would be painful to see her without a lovelife. Akai Shuuichi isn't suitable for her, since he's with Jodie. Anyone is not meant for her, only Conan. Ran could end up Eisuke Hondou instead. I could tell he loves Ran to the point where he could become Shinichi just for her. And what if it has been years before Conan returns to his original state? It would be also painful, for Ran's part. Just make her move on already, since Conan and the others haven't even figured out who the heck Rum is. And I could tell this series may continue until 1500 episodes. Haibara is Conan's true love, they shared the same shrunken fate, and they are really close, especially because they now attend the same school and class. I used to support Ran and Shinichi, but I now see their relationship as brother-sister, unlike Kaito and Aoko. I support them too, along with Kaito x Akako. Gosho Aoyama just wants childhood friends to end up with each other. For God's sake, be unique! Don't just stick to one technique! I support Conan and Ai because they are the perfect example of the haters-friends-partners-and possibly, lovers relationship.

I love Mouri Ran. She's STRONG. Physically and mentally too. It is known that she is a karate champion. She's a badass in my eyes when she fights bare-handed with bad guys carrying guns and knife. Not anyone have the courage to approach people like that. She's even willing to risk her on life to save others no matter who they are. Her sense of justice is just respectable. Same with Shinichi, and that's one of the reason Shinichi is drawn towards Ran. She's strong mentally because despite Shinichi not explaining anything to her and leaving without notice, she's faithfully waiting for his return without hesitation at all. Not all girls can do that, I tell you. Some might have find another man. All she do is believe in Shinichi's word "Ran wait for me." Ran's crying is not a sign of weakness. She's constantly worried about Shinichi whose whereabouts is unknown because she cared for Shinichi more than anybody else. It's normal for her to cry, at least she shows her feelings explicitly.
She may look naive for not noticing that Conan is Shinichi. But, she suspected already because the resemblance in looks and behavior is just too obvious. But Shinichi always makes a way to cover it up making Ran dismiss the thought of that.
Ran remembers every little things about Shinichi, and I can say the same to Shinichi too. You can see it when they reminisce about their childhood days.
She may be your just average girl when it comes to intellect but that is way normal in real life. Ran is the brawn and Shinichi is the brain.
Her perfect life for having both parents and friends is not her fault. Just because her life seems too perfect doesn't mean she have to give up on Shinichi! It doesn't mean you could wish her to die and vanish in the manga/anime.
Her character is lovable and I can't see why anyone would dislike/hate her.
She may be nagging and crying too much but she's a girl afterall. She may be a typical type of girl being an "Angel-like" character. She has her merits and flaws at the same time, but that is just about right because nobody is perfect. I want her to have a happy ending with Shinichi. She deserves it. They both love each other.
As for Haibara Ai/Miyano Shiho, at first I admit, I REALLY REALLY HATE HER. If not for her then Shinichi wouldn't become Conan. Shinichi wouldn't have to sneak around just to help in solving cases. But bit by bit I started to like her. She's definitely smart and cool-headed, opposite of Ran. She's a good partner to Conan/Shinichi for solving cases. They both trust each other's ability. Just like how Shinichi counts on Hattori Heiji. And how Shinichi also work with Kaito Kid when they both have the same enemy. That's how I could describe their relationship. It should not be of romance. Yes, it's sad to know about her family and what she have been through. But Shinichi isn't the only one who give her happiness. After everything will be solved, she will definitely have a bright future ahead of her knowing her skills and intellect. She's pretty too so it won't be long if someone fall in love with her. I want her to have a happy ending too but definitely not with Shinichi. They can stay partners and good friends with each other but that's it. And I don't think Shiho deserve Shinichi if Shinichi only chose her out of pity.
If Shinichi ends up with Shiho, I will hate everything about Detective Conan and Shinichi too. Why? How could he ask for Ran to wait for her in a long long time without explaining everything and when he appear he would tell she love another girl? How jerk of a man that would be right?
Would you rather prefer that he would be that kind of man who will broke his promises? Shinichi is not like that. I wouldn't want an ending that would ruin his awesome character.
I respect Ran and Shinichi's love for each other because even as the times go by, their feelings for each other never falters.

And come on guys, it's not Ran's fault if she had a perfect life unlike Ai's. Be mad on the author of the DC(Gosho Aoyama) for giving thiose kind of life to the characters. Conan and Ai are amazing together. I will keep loving and supporting them! I hate The Agency girl ran. She is nothing for me her love for Shinichi is not LOVE! IT IS NOTHING! Because they were childhood friends they thought they love each other! And Ai? What about her? Some don't feel that there are real people like her... Not being shrunk.. But about her life! Her family died.. She said many times that Conan is the only one for her! She can leave her life behind just to protect him! Because she know if he died her life will be hell more than it is! She protects his smile even though she know that he love her! She left her love behind just for his happiness! Isn't this what is called LOVE?!Conan protects Ai always too! If you look deeper you can see... Conan have feelings to Ai! And if Aoyama-san want really SHINRAN together.. He would make a straight way for their love! He won't make any scenes for them together! He won't make Haibara, Ayumi or Sera!
